Dream Dictionary
was first published in the UK by Macdonald in 1990 under the
Optima imprint. Little Brown bought out Macdonald. The book has
been reprinted in 1990 - 1992 - 1994 twice - 1995 - 1997 - 1998 -
1999.
In 2002 Bantam Dell published a revised edition in the USA.
Writing Dream Dictionary
came about through my working for the national UK newspaper The
Daily Mail. For many years I had been working in the role of
therapist using dreams, but the thousands of dreams received via the
dream page of the Daily Mail gave a tremendous boost to
understanding and information gathered.

I wanted very much to
share what I had learnt, and eventually was offered a commission
with Macdonalds through the support of Erica Smith. Later, Little
Brown UK purchased the rights and continued to publish in the UK.
